You may guess, by the title of my post–I don’t know what certain elements within this theme are called. Consequently, I don’t know how to control the theme. There are a number of changes I would like to make to my website (www.lionreach.com), and do not know how. All questions here are basic and pertain to a single website. If you need for me to split them up, let me know.

    semi-transparent rectangle thingy (1 question)
Q1. How can the semi-transparent thingy be controlled or hidden? Just below the top bar that holds the main menu is a semi-transparent rectangle thingy that, at the moment, holds a picture of footsteps in the beach. Here’s the problem it causes: Visit the Links page, choose a links category. You are transported down to a list of links belonging to that category. To return to the top, you click the upward facing triangle at the top of the links list. BUT–the top of the body of the page is hidden by the semi-transparent thingy. At the top of the body of the page, I have a label that says indicates that this is where the top is. I experimented by pushing that label down several lines, so as to allow room for the semi-transparent thingy. This did not work. If I cannot get this functionality back, alternatively, how can I hide/disable the semi-transparent thingy?

    menu questions (4 questions)
Q2. How can the menu be displayed as boldly (if not bolder), but with more space, by eliminating space to its left? On a cell phone, the menu does not display in this manner, so the question pertains to viewing on a computer. I have an additional page to include in the site, but decided against it, since the menu wraps to a second line.

Q3. How can menu font be made larger?

Q4. How can the indicator of which page you’re on on the menu (the two parallel artsy lines of varying lengths) be modified to be bolder? For instance, maybe menu entry for the page you’re on temporarily displaying in a larger font, or a different color…

Q5. When you have selected a page on the site, the two parallel artsy lines of varying lengths indicate which page it is in the menu (not on cell phones, on a computer). Additionally, the name of the page or menu entry displays in a large font at the upper left. How can this font be made smaller or how can this repeat be eliminated altogether?

    site name/tag line (1 question)
Q6. Can the site name and tag line be made larger?

    buttons/links (1 question)
Q7. How can button/links color be changed? Links are displayed in a lovely shade of blue that is not bold against my blue background.

    layout (1 question)
Q8. How can I control the appearance of the Today’s Word page? On a computer, the layout is satisfactory. On a cell phone, the form is so long that the bottom paragraphs are way below where one would expect to see them.

Sorry, Lots of question to reply. I think you would need to hire some web expert regarding it.
