Plugin Installation

The installation of Super Floating and Fly Menu does not differ from other plugin installation processes. So, you might be familiar with the process already. If not, follow these steps:

  • Once you have made the purchase, download a copy of the Super Floating and Fly Menu zip file and save it on your hard drive.
  • Login to your WordPress dashboard and go to Plugins > Add New.
  • Click on Upload Plugin and choose the plugin file that you have saved previously.
  • Once done, click on “Install Now”.
  • Wait while the plugin is installed on your server and click on the “Activate Plugin” button once the plugin is installed.

Setting Up Menu Structure

Once the plugin is installed, set up the menu structure to make it a floating menu or a fly menu.

Note: You can upgrade the default navigation menu to a floating menu or a fly menu. However, we recommend you to use a fresh one for better usage.

To create a new menu structure on your WordPress website:

  • Login to your WordPress dashboard and go to Appearance > Menu.
  • Now, click on create a new menu by clicking on Create a New Menu
  • Give the Menu Name and click on the Create Menu
  • Then, add the menu items that you want to include on your new menu.
  • Once done, click on the “Save Menu” to save your new menu.

Enabling Super Floating and Fly Menu

Once you have created the menu structure for your website, it’s time to enable the Super Floating and Fly Menu for menu configuration.

  • Login to your WordPress dashboard and go to Appearance > Menu.
  • Click on the Screen Option on the right top side of your screen and tick “Super Floating Fly Menu.

  • Once done, the Super Floating Fly Menu section will appear.
  • Then, turn on the Enable Super Menu

Creating a Floating Menu using Super Floating and Fly Menu

Once you have enabled Super Floating and Fly Menu, select the Floating Menu in the menu type and click on the “Settings” button to configure the options.

You will be directed to the settings page of the plugin. It consists of 5 different setting tabs. They are:

On the menu settings page, you can define the menu position to where you want to display your floating menu.

Also, you can configure the tab height/weight, icon size, tab spacing of the menu. Add the size and spacing accordingly as per your requirement.

You can also choose the z index and offset from the top-bottom and left-right of your screen for a better menu position on the website screen.

Once done, don’t forget to click on the “Save” button to save your changes.

 

Social Menu Settings:

The social menu settings allow you to add social media icons to your floating menu. You can use it to add floating social icons in your web content.

To add social icons: 

  • Click on “Add Social Icon”.
  • Select the favorable social icons from over 5000+ menu icons available on 5 different menu icon sets.
  • Now give the icon name, icon URL, and icon tooltip text.
  • You can follow a similar process to add another social icon as well. The plugin allows you to add unlimited social icons on the floating menu.
  • You can also define the social icon group position to either top or on the bottom on the floating menu.
  • Once done, don’t forget to click on the “Save” button to save your changes.

Layout Settings

This setting tab allows you to choose the layout for the floating menu. The plugin comes with 10 different menu templates for the floating menu. Each template has its own options. You can configure them as per your need and design a beautiful floating menu for your WordPress website.

Custom Settings

The custom settings will override the default theme settings configured for the menu. This will provide full freedom to customize the menu items as per your preference and make them more appealing on your website.

Turn on the toggle near the custom enable and start the customization.

Color Customization

You can pick the favorable background color, font color, hover background color, and hover font for your menu tab. Likewise, you can also choose the background color and font color for your tooltip and trigger button.

Typography Settings

Super Floating and Fly Menu plugin comes with an advanced typography option that lets you choose font family, font style, text transformation, and text-decoration. Also, the plugin lets you set the font size, line height, and line spacing.

Social Icon Color Customization

If you have added social icons on your floating menu, you can customize the color for the social buttons. To configure the color, click on “Add Social Icon” and pick the suitable background color, hover background color, font color, hover font color, tooltip background color, and tooltip text color.

Once done, don’t forget to click on the “Save” button to save your changes.

General Settings:

The general settings tab contains the general options for your plugin. It allows you to enable the menu.

You can also hide the menu on desktop and mobile screens. Also, you can show/hide the menu on different pages, posts, custom post types, and many more.

Once done, don’t forget to click on the “Save” button to save your changes.

Configure Each Menu Items in Fly Menu

You can also configure each of the menu items available in the fly menu.

To configure each menu item, just click on the super menu settings below the menu items.

You can add the title attribute, place tooltip, and add menu icons. Besides, you can also customize the background color, font color, background hover color, font hover color, tooltip background color, and tooltip font color.

Creating a Fly Menu using Super Floating and Fly Menu

Alternatively, you can also create a fly menu using our plugin – Super Floating and Fly Menu. To do that, select the Fly Menu in the menu type and click on the “Settings” button to configure the options

You will be directed to the settings page of the plugin. It consists of 7 different setting tabs. They are:

Set Fly Menu:

In the set fly menu option, you can configure the header and footer section of the menu.

You can add menu header text, header image, and additional header text on the header of the website. While in the footer you can add additional footer text.

Besides, you can also enable the search form, and social media section and add them to the header or footer section.

Layout Settings:

From the layout settings tab, you can select any of the 4 different menu types. Besides, you can choose the menu position, sub-menu type, menu animation, sub-menu animation, and menu hover animations.

Also, you can enable the content blur option if you want to blur the web contents when the menu is active.

Display Settings:

In the display settings, you can control the display of your fly menu. It allows you to enable the menu.

You can also hide the menu on desktop and mobile screens. Also, you can show/hide the menu on different pages, posts, custom post types, and many more.

Once done, don’t forget to click on the “Save” button to save your changes.

Toggle Button Settings:

This tab contains all the options available for the toggle button. You can choose the icon type that you want to display for the toggle button and choose whether to display it on the navigation menu itself.

Also, you can enable the menu on hover.

Besides, you can also customize the toggle button width, toggle button border color, border-radius, button background color, toggle button font color, toggle button background hover color, and toggle button hover font color.

In the navigation menu settings, you can choose the navigation icon type for open and close icons.

The menu item settings tab contains the typography options for header title, tagline, custom content, title, and description. You can change the font family, font style, text transform, and text-decoration. Besides, you can choose the font size, line height, and line spacing.

Menu Background:

You can set the menu background to either color background, image background, or video background.

Color Settings:

Simple Floating and Fly Menu comes with a color picker that allows you to choose the color for different elements of your fly menu. You can pick the color for menu items, short description, trigger icons, animation color, sub menu color, header, footer, notification settings.

 

Social Icon Color Customization:

If you have added social icons on your floating menu, you can customize the color for the social buttons. To configure the color, click on “Add Social Icon” and pick the suitable background color, hover background color, font color, hover font color, tooltip background color and tooltip text color.

Additional Content Settings

If you have added the additional contents on your navigation menu, you can select its background color, font color and content height.

You can also configure each of the menu items available in the fly menu.

To configure each menu item, just click on the super menu settings below the menu items.

You can select the menu icon, add a short menu description, place a menu notification label and additional content.
