ParticipantI just ran the update to bring my theme to version 1.1.6.8 and my home slider totally disappeared… It’s still set up to use the correct pages in the customization. How do I get my sliders back?

InactiveI did too. My Total theme is 1.1.6.8 and my sliders disappeared. It had been working fine previously. My pages are correctly set up in the customized area too.

KeymasterPlease hard refresh your website. It should be fixed. We have replaced the slider plugin in our latest update for faster loading.
Please do reply with your website url if it still does not work.

ParticipantHi – When you say ‘hard refresh your website’ what do you mean? Are you suggesting it is a caching issue in Apache?
ThanksOctober 14, 2017 at 3:49 pm #3657Anonymous
InactiveHi again,
Everything seems to work again, thanks!

Keymaster@tomnorton i mean to press ctrl + f5 multiple times. Or better delete the browser cache and reload the website again.

Keymaster@Mara the slider is displaying properly when i checked. So it must your browser cache that is still breaking the slider.

Keymaster@jazzseal we changed the slider script for better loading. And it is the older cache that is breaking the site for some moment.

InactiveI found the problem! The problem was the CSS code.
I increased height of # ht-masthead in CSS and the slider came backAs I had increased the padding size of my menu, and the default logo, the Slider simply disappeared. But in the previous version, it worked normally.
So there are two solutions:
1- decrease the height of the menu or logo or
2- Increase the height of the head.I’ve increased the header with the following CSS code:
# ht-masthead {height: 110px; }
And it worked well!

Keymaster@Brubaker Consulting @jamesson james
I can see slider working in both of your website.

InactiveThe same thing happened to me, but I found that a bit of CSS customization that I’d used before the update was causing the problem (of the slider not showing up).
I had added some code that was intended to make the slide load faster. If you have added the code below and now aren’t seeing the slider, you might be able to fix it by DELETING this customization…
/* FIX SLIDER LOAD TIME */
.ht-slide{display:none;}
.bx-wrapper .ht-slide{display:block;}Once I deleted this, my slider returned.

Keymaster@Br1tt The CSS you mentioned will only work with the older version of the theme. With latest version these CSS code have no any effect on anything.
