    Hello, I am wondering how I would be able to remove / put different text on this ‘no comments’ aspect of my homepage as I have disabled comments on my site and the feature seems redundant to me.

    You can remove it. Go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and paste the below CSS code

    .entry-post-info .entry-comment{display:none}
