What you need to do is check your child theme and then search for the files in the parent theme that you have copied into your child theme and then investigate the code.

We had made some changes in the code in the recent update of the theme. And since you are using the child theme, you will need to recheck the code in the child theme again and change it according to the change in parent theme again. Once you make these fixes, it will work.

But this only control after how many seconds the next slider will display.

I am not sure if it is easy or not. It depends on how you have built your child theme. If you have any file code added from parent theme to child theme then you will need to replicate the code again from parent to child theme.

The mobile device does not support the hover effect instead it needs to be tapped so people might not know that there are the title and the associated link in the mobile device. So it is general practice to display everything by default without needing to tap in the mobile device.
