Hiding Date and change the layout of preveiw.

Hi, because I am not good at English, so it was a big challenge for me to write here.
But…I am having trouble to solve some problems, so I want some helps.

First, I want to erase the date of each post which is displayed right side of the post.

Second, right now, when it shows posts in a list in a category, it is setted to show the 10 lines of the contents in advance, and also show a featured picture as a pretty big size.
I want to change the 10 lines -> 5 lines or so, and a featured picture comes to a smaller size and displayed in the left side of the text.

Is it possible?
