I’ve tried changing the ‘Read More’ button text by editing the field under Excerpt Length in the Blog/Single Post Settings. However, the text on the button never changes. Any suggestions?

Are you using free or premium version? The option to change the Read More button is available in premium version only. So please kindly post your question in the appropriate forum here https://hashthemes.com/support/forum/total-plus/
You will need to post your question with the purchased account.
And please mention your website URL along with the page where the read more text is not changing so that it would be easy for us to provide you with the correct solution.
